Little Black Girls is an original tribute poem written by Tamika Johnson, Founder and Senior Managing Partner of TESA. Inspired by the strength, beauty, resilience, and fierce spirit of her mother, Janell, her Aunt Helen, and the many remarkable women who helped shape her life, this heartfelt piece celebrates the power and promise of Black girls everywhere.
Following the confirmation of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson in April 2022, Tamika was further inspired to honor the first Black woman to serve on the United States Supreme Court, as well as every former, current, and future Little Black Girl.
